Care and Cultivation Guide

1. Light Requirements: Thrives in bright, indirect light. Ample light is crucial to maintain both the metallic red coloration and the mint/pink variegation. Insufficient light will cause colors to fade and variegation to revert. Avoid harsh direct sun which can scorch the delicate variegated areas.
2. Substrate: Requires an extremely well-draining, airy aroid mix. A blend of sphagnum moss, perlite, fine orchid bark, pumice, and charcoal is ideal. The chunky texture allows oxygen to reach the roots while retaining necessary moisture.
3. Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist but never soggy. Allow the top 2-3 cm to dry out between waterings. Overwatering is the fastest way to cause root rot. Use room-temperature, filtered water if possible.
4. Temperature & Humidity: Prefers warm, stable temperatures between 20°C and 28°C. Requires high humidity (70% or higher) to develop its characteristic metallic hammered leaves and maintain variegation vibrancy. A terrarium, greenhouse cabinet, or humidifier is highly recommended for young plants.
5. Fertilization: During active growing season (spring/summer), apply a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks. Avoid over-fertilizing. A fertilizer with slightly higher phosphorus can support root development.
